Apple Celebrates The Year Of The Dragon With A Storewide Sale
Apple is celebrating the Lunar New Year by cutting the price of most of its online products in participating Asian markets. The sale, dubbed “Red Friday” offers discounts on everything from ear buds to iMacs and is representative of the “Black Friday” deals that appeared on November 25 in the U.S. and Europe.
Hong Kong’s Apple online retail store is offering discounts on all iPad 2 Wi-Fi models of approximately eight-percent.
The 3G models are discounted slightly less at approximately seven-percent. Smart covers for the iPad 2 are reduced in price by approximately six-percent.
The sale is today only and is valid in China, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, and Thailand.The biggest discount for Red Friday is at 10-percent and is offered on certain lower-end models of MacBook Airs and all iPod models across the board. There are also discounts on all mobile devices, home computers, wireless keyboards and other computer accessories, speaker systems, cases and software.
