Apple Stores May Close for An Hour On Oct. 19th to Honor Steve Jobs

October 19th is the date that Apple will be hosting an on campus remembrance ceremony to celebrate the life of former CEO Steve Jobs. Retail employees may be able to join in on the special tribute to Steve Jobs, and Apple Stores across the globe are expected to close for one hour.
The ceremony is not open to the public, but citizens of California can celebrate and remember Steve Jobs on the date of October 16th, which has been named Steve Jobs Day.
On October 19th, Apple Stores will be shut down at 10 a.m. PST or 1 p.m. EST, and will reopen at 11 a.m. PST and 2 p.m EST. During the hour long closure, Apple employees will watch a live webcast of the memorial in Cupertino.
And of course, everyone can join in for a moment of silence during the remembrance, to honor the man who changed all of our lives.
