Genuitec Unveils Windows Environment for iOS Development
You asked for it and Genuitec delivered. Best known for being a founding member of the Eclipse Foundation, Genuitec has announced the latest version of MobiOne Studio. The 1.4 production release of their development suite brings a number of enhancements to the software that makes it possible to do iOS development on the Windows platform and without having to be familiar with the requisite Objective C programming language.
Taking advantage of HTML 5 web-based technologies, MobiOne Studio gives you a point-and-click WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get) interface that lets you build your application using a drag-and-drop guided process, even letting you choose whether you create iPhone, iPad or universal apps suitable for both devices.
The goal when Genuitec was creating MobiOne Studio was to make it easy for you to develop and deploy iOS apps in minutes instead of months. They happily boast their software and the development process while using it as being “[so] ridiculously simple, even your grandmother can do it!”
To make things even easier, MobiOne Studio provides you with a host of default options and images that give you something to start from and work with. This is a real value-added features that is of particular use to those people developing applications for the first time who may not have the wisdom of experience to help intuit exactly what is required.
Once completed, your new app can be installed over-the-air wirelessly or by using iTunes. Instructions for each method are clear and easy to follow.
