Express lane zones are usually staffed with several Apple Specialists and stock popular laptop models, iPads, and iPods. Combined with Apple’s new Apple Store app which allows for self-checkout and in store pickup, holiday shopping at an Apple Store should be a breeze.
If you live near an Apple Store, you know how busy it can be during a new release, a holiday, or even just a weekend. My local Apple Store is usually packed with people, so an express lane is a welcome addition.
Hong Kong’s new Apple Store is busy enough that a year-round express counter has been built, so you can get a sneak peak at what the setup might look like at your local Apple Store.
Apple is planning additional overnights in coming weeks, but not for a new product release.
