Microsoft Releases Xbox Live App for iOS

I’m sure when you read the above headline, you did a double take. A Microsoft Xbox Live app in the Apple App Store? It may be hard to believe, but it’s true. The app coincides with the newly released Xbox update, which completely redesigned the Live experience.
With the app, Xbox users are able to keep track of achievements and compare scores with friends, connect with other Xbox live users, and change their 3D avatars. Users can also send messages and manage friends.
Players can use the app to review the recent games that they played with friends to compare achievements, and get news about the latests games and apps through the games hub. Xbox Spotlight feeds are available, as is breaking news, game tips and tricks, gamer spotlight, and plenty more.
Want to engage a friend in a game? Send out a beacon, a feature of the new Xbox live, announcing your availability to your friends. To use the app, you will need to log into Xbox Live on your Xbox and download the new update. Then just grab the universal My Xbox Live from the App Store, and you’re good to go.
