My iPad Is Better Looking than Your Android Tablet

According to a study by EyeTrackShop, an eye-tracking technology company, people look more often and for longer periods of time at iPhones and iPads than they do any of the other big-named mobile gadget suppliers. Apple’s innovative design speaks for itself.
According to the Huffington Post, the iPhone 4S beat out the Motorola Photon 4G, Samsung Epic Touch 4G, Google Nexus S, HTC EVO4G and the Samsung Galaxy II 4G as being the most attractive phone. Browsers looked at Apple’s smart phone first, and for longer, with a more focused gaze than any of the Android phones.
The saucy iPad 2 outshined Amazon’s newest tablet, the Kindle Fire, as well as the Samsung Galaxy 10.1, Motorola Zoom, and the HTC Flyer. The Galaxy 10.1 caught participants’ eye first, but the iPad kept their gaze longer.
EyeTrackShop’s study involved 200 participants. Their eye movement was measured using a webcam while they looked at images of phones and tablets. This was just a preliminary study. The tracking company plans to do a follow-up study where they will vary the order of images on the screen in order to rule out placement as an influence on viewing behavior. The first study placed Apple’s products in the top-left corner of the screen.
The image below shows the amount of time spent looking at each devise. Notice the larger amounts of red on both the iPhone and iPad. That is because Apple’s gadgets are hot!
