Steve Jobs Memorial Passes 1 Million Tributes

On October 5, Apple created a special memorial site dedicated to the passing of Steve Jobs. Those wishing to send their condolences, offer tributes or just say good-bye were able to do so by sending an email. Those tributes have been streaming in over the past two weeks and have now hit one million.
From Apple’s Website:
Over a million people from all over the world have shared their memories, thoughts, and feelings about Steve. One thing they all have in common — from personal friends to colleagues to owners of Apple products — is how they’ve been touched by his passion and creativity. You can view some of these messages below.
And share your own at rememberingsteve@apple.com
Email tributes continuously scroll as new ones arrive. Apple will continue to receive and post approved tributes. If you want to express your admiration or send a message to the family, this is a good day to do so.
Today, Apple, Inc, its employees, and in a sense, the whole world joined in tribute of the most beloved CEO that ever lived during Jobs’ memorial service. Apple retail stores closed for a few hours in honor of his passing. Retail stores across the world may get back to normal later today, but our hearts will always feel the loss of Steve Jobs.
